Ryan loves to help me around the house. With laundry and cooking dinner (pictures attached) He also is very entertained by the tupperware drawer. It's fun to watch him play. I can see the "wheels turning"!!! Another favorite "toy" is an empty kleenex box. It's fun to use as a drum. It's also fun to put toys inside the empty box and rattle them around. Ryan has been sleeping well at night and has also been taking good naps in the afternoon. He has started not only pulling up on everything but he will also "hover" and balance before falling back on his butt.

Happy 5 year anniversary!
Friday, March 18th Ryan was diagnosed with RSV...Happy Anniversary! Saturday night Tim and I were talking about what we were going to do. Ryan couldn't go to daycare (and we didn't want him to with all the germs!). We could ask friends to help but not for the entire week! We were short-handed at work, so I knew there was no way I could take time off and it's never easy for Tim to take off either.
We thought we would just see if either of the grandmas were available. Grandma Lou had two proms and a wedding that she had to design flowers for so we tried Grandma Vicki. Grandma Vicki was in Omaha visiting Addison and even though she was very busy with work she was able to come to Murray for the WHOLE week!!! We were so lucky Grandma Vicki could come and help because it was an especially interesting week! After 2 days of breathing treatments Ryan developed a rash that covered his entire body. Back to the doctor we went. The only connection we could make to the rash was the breathing treatments. After changing the medication and adding steroids for 4 days and a children's allergy medication to help clear the rash we were back in business. Ryan was feeling much better by the end of the week. The pictures attached show Ryan's rash!

7.5
Ryan is over 7 months old. Over the last 2 weeks he has changed so much. He is eating GREAT at daycare. At home he would prefer to be nursed:) He loves squash, sweet potatoes, peaches and bananas. He has also started eating "puffs". He has also mastered the "sippy" cup!
P.S. I started this post over a month ago! So much for a weekly update.

Snowman!
It snowed 4-5 inches on Monday and it has snowed another 3 inches today! We have closed early and/or opened late everyday this week so far at the wellness center. It has worked out well for me because I am sick for the 3rd time this winter with some sort of stomach bug. Ryan keeps bringing home germs from daycare and I'm the one that keeps getting sick! Yuck!!! The pictures are from Monday. The snow was perfect for building a snowman.
6 Month Stats!
Ryan weighed 16 pounds and was 25 inches long at his 6 month appointment. The BEST, MOST AWESOME, GREATEST news of all...Ryan is now sleeping through the night!!!! It started almost 2 weeks ago. After the worst night ever we finally decided it might be time to let him cry it out. He did VERY well with it. The first night he only cried 35 minutes. I am so thankful it worked and that we did have to listen to him cry for very long. Since that first night we've had a few nights when he'll wake up and cry a little but not for longer than 5-10 minutes. I haven't adjusted to sleeping through the night myself. Every morning around 4 am I'm wide awake! He is eating rice cereal must better and some days he loves his baby food. He should be crawling any day. He can get to anything he wants but right now he is scooting more than crawling. But he's close to figuring it out!

Christmas
We stayed in Murray for Christmas this year. After two years of terrible travel conditions at Christmas we decided not to risk the long trip with a baby and stay home. It was hard not to see family but it was also nice not to be on the road during such a busy time of year. We still had a white Christmas. It snowed in Murray Christmas eve and early Christmas morning. It was the first time in YEARS! It was all melted by the day after Christmas...my kind of snow! Attached is a picture of Ryan Christmas morning.
